Through Horto, chef Norbert Niederkofler challenges the conventions of fine dining by building a local supply chain through direct collaboration with farmers, breeders, and foragers

Born in 1993, Frederik Ruegger was growing up in between the decades of the 90s and the 2000s. It describes the transition from teenager to adult. Adolescence is about unfiltered experiences, both good and terrible. It ranges from the joy of a first kiss to the sorrow of a first breakup and everything in between.
The carefree nature and the freedom from adult obligations made those years intense. We were just a bunch of kids hanging out on the street, and it didn’t take much to entertain us teenagers at the time were the world was becoming more digital. The first cell phones and computers were affordable and suddenly you could see the world through different eyes. You had the feeling of being close to your idols by watching their soaps or music videos. It marked the start of what we now call streetwear. Designer pieces were combined with streetwear brands.
With this story, Ruegger want to travel back in time and give a glimpse into the aesthetics of the early 2000s and the spirit between emerging individuals. The story is about connection, the expression of a desire and a deep understanding for the beauty of youth.
German photographer born in Worms (GE) on February 2, 1993. He relocated to New York in 2012, where he resided and worked as a Fashion Model for almost five years. He has had a strong interest in photography since an early age. In New York, Frederik established a documentary style for his photographs. He opted to study photography at Berlin’s Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie in 2019, where he is now located.
