«I flew into Albuquerque in early March and I had planned to see as much of the state as possible in six days. The trip more or less was inspired by the life of Dennis Hopper and some works by Georgia O’Keefe and I had a few key places I wanted to visit including Santa Fe, Taos and White Sands.
As with most of these trips that I have taken in the US, in order to photograph the best characters and landscapes I never take any highways and always try to take the back-roads through curious towns – most of the routes and all encounters are unplanned»
