Angostura – I’m not a fashion designer

It is a period of reflection and relates to aesthetics, taking place before considering the restraints of production. Intw Angostura

I don’t think I am a truly fashion designer. I don’t like the ‘fashion industry system’ and I don’t like the endless run behind every fashion season. What I’m trying to do is make what makes me happy and bring to life creations inspired by people that surround me everyday.

A different fashion designer

So whatever I became so far, it came very naturally. It wasn’t planned. I just started sharing with the ones I loved, my dreams and my vision. I think that my jewels are not fashion but what I really want when I think about anGostura is sculpture jewels, more art less fashion. The gaze of people when they tried on a jewel. The way they made them feel. More beautiful.

Jewels like sculptures

In my career so far a big role was played by my muses. Erykah Badu believed in me for real. She believed in me so hard that taught me to not be fear. Fear of what people would think about a ‘weird creation’ or now I don’t even care about how salable and commercial is a piece. I just create, I’m no longer afraid to show what my dreams are made of.
