Holistic skincare – hedgerows and flower-filled meadows. Natural ingredients and new generation plant based bio-actives deliver outstanding results for skin health
Kerry Moore, the co-founder of Amly BotanicalsAmly is an expression of holistic skincare. Devoted to harnessing the health and beauty giving properties of nature, many of the plants we use thrive in our green and fertile fields, hedgerows and flower-filled meadows. These natural ingredients, combined with new generation plant based bio-actives deliver outstanding results for skin health. I was born in Lincolnshire, in the North East of England. Amly are based at Hawthbush Farm in East Sussex. I live in Henley-on-Thames Oxfordshire. My closest city is London which is about 45 minutes away. I moved to London when I was 17 and love it, I need to be near enough to visit regularly or I miss the energy. I love that there is always a new exhibition, play or gig to go to and the parks are all so beautiful. I have lived in New York and Los Angeles, I really enjoyed LA but wouldn’t want to live there, NY is vibrant, but my heart is in London.
I studied Homeopathy and Craniosacral Therapy in London. Lisa and I have been friends for 20 years, when she moved to her organic farm and discovered the incredible water source we decided to combine our knowledge of health, wellbeing and knowledge of the land to create products that would enhance wellbeing. Nature inspires me. I live in the countryside, close to the river . I walk every day with my dog so love to watch the changing seasons and the incredible transformations that take place. I visit Hawthbush Farm, where Amly is based, regularly and Lisa and I take time to walk through the wildflower meadows, in the summer at full bloom it is the most glorious sight. My mother was a midwife and inspired my desire to work in health and wellbeing. I originally wanted to be a doctor but got distracted from my studies and moved to London. I became friends with twin sisters who were very involved in alternative medicine & organic, healthy living, this was a long time before this became a much bigger movement. I was very inspired to do the same and after a few years visiting my homeopath I decided to train myself in homeopathy then training to become a Craniosacral therapist. I have had a practice for nearly 20 years now.
I think we are still at the very beginning of our journey with Amly, we very much see us growing into a wellbeing brand that incorporates all aspects of how we live. We are passionate about creating products that become part of your daily self care rituals, helping to enhance your sense of wellbeing, bringing you a breath of nature and bringing you back to self. With our backgrounds in both health, art and farming we feel we are well placed to grow our presence and are both so excited to see where it takes us. Beauty for me is what is emanating from within. Kindness and joy shine through and light up the person.
