Emily Neil

Emily Neil is a freelance journalist based in Philadelphia. Her work has been published in local, national, and international publications. Prior to moving to Philadelphia, Emily worked as a communications officer for SERES, a Guatemalan non-profit organization focused on youth leadership and sustainability education in Guatemala and El Salvador. Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, Emily received her Master’s of Science in journalism from Columbia Journalism School in 2016, and graduated with a B.A. in Middle Easter studies and a minor in Spanish and Latin American studies from Barnard College in 2014.
