The Lampoon Soap bar is crafted by Satinine

A soap bar made with vegetable oils and upcycled prickly pear extract sourced from pruning waste in Sicily. The extract, taken from the paddles of the plant, contains polysaccharides known for hydrating, protective, and soothing functions, consistent with the long-standing use of prickly pear gel as an emollient. The foam cleanses the skin and releases a note that recalls Mediterranean fruit and sun.

What is Satinine?
Satinine is a Milan-based fragrance project that revives an Italian brand through archival study, direct work with raw materials, and a supply chain rooted in local production. The method connects past formulas, regional biodiversity, and contemporary research into sourcing and processing.

Lampoon – the soap bar?
The new Lampoon issue, SOAP – Issue 32, focuses on soap as a material, a process, and a metaphor: from water pollution and microplastic release to the idea of stains on the human soul. Soap functions both as a tool and a symbol — it washes, it restores, and it reveals how people move through cycles of residue, loss, renewal, and contradiction.

Lampoon and Satinine
The project develops where the two lines of research meet. Satinine contributes work on traceable materials, production knowledge, and the reactivation of archives. Lampoon brings an editorial approach that connects objects to themes of water, waste, and the marks left on bodies and systems: Lampoon is also known as The Cultural Magazine about Sustainability. The soap bar becomes a shared ground: a form that joins material inquiry with a narrative on use, impact, and human behavior.

Satinine Soap Bars are made in Italy from single-origin vegetable oils obtained through certified organic farming or upcycling. They contain no EDTA or colorants and cleanse without disrupting the skin’s balance. The tin box extends the object’s function: its lid serves as a stand, linking production to use and to the daily gestures explored by both Lampoon and Satinine.
