The City Is Ours #3: Superficial Damages is a research publication focused on material wear in the urban environment. The book documents scratches, marks, cracks, and surface alterations produced by everyday use of buildings, sidewalks, and streets. These traces are generated by continuous interaction between urban surfaces and human activity, including pedestrian movement, bicycles, skateboards, strollers, scooters, and vehicles.

The publication approaches surface damage as a form of evidence rather than deterioration. Through systematic visual observation, it frames wear as a record of use, pressure, and movement, revealing how public space is occupied and negotiated over time. Marks left on materials are treated as data points that describe behavior, repetition, and friction within the city.

The volume presents over ninety full-color images structured as a visual survey. Design and concept by SerraGlia, the book adopts a documentary method that avoids interpretation through narration, allowing material surfaces to function as primary sources.
