Collina Strada – operating beyond the input of our physical senses

It is a period of reflection and relates to aesthetics, taking place before considering the restraints of production. In conversation with Hillary Taymour

How do you bring a vision into full-fruition? Forming ideas, images and concepts means to operate beyond the input of our physical senses. It is a period of reflection and relates to aesthetics, taking place before considering the restraints of production. Design is the process that precedes the discipline of manufacturing. Our Fashion Editor Giorgia Fuzio in conversation with Hillary Taymour, founder of Collina Strada.

COLLINA STRADA

When I was little I would have iconic meltdowns that Barbie didn’t have the right outfit to wear to the beach or a picnic. It was never the right color or fit. The idea of becoming a Fashion Designer started then. I feel like having a clear point of view has always been my path. Looking down a straight road of saying exactly what I want to say and embodying an ethos. I feel like my collection is pretty fluid but also a wearable runway. I try to make clothes that are understandable to the consumer. Yes it’s a sweatshirt but here is the added reason of why you want this particular sweatshirt. Here are some of my favorites from last season.
