Lampoon, the latest issue – MECCANO.
From children’s toys to analytical diagrams,
human thought becomes a form of disobedience:
we will not surrender to social media.

We are feeding what will destroy us.
Artificial intelligences are learning to proceed without us
— it stands as our next challenge.
Perfection has never interested us.

Lampoon The Daily Dispatch presents new articles, interviews, visual stories and research on the processes, materials and cultural practices shaping the contemporary world.

This section reflects the central areas of Lampoon’s editorial identity: sustainable manufacturing, material research, civic engagement, analogue photography, rationalist architecture and a raw visual aesthetic. Rather than treating sustainability as a statement or a trend, The Daily Dispatch examines how objects, buildings, images and systems are produced — and the environmental, social and economic conditions behind them.

Photography is treated as a form of research. Analogue images, original photo essays and visual narratives record people, spaces, materials and working environments beyond the polished language of commercial communication. Architecture is approached through structure, function and material honesty, with particular attention to rationalist principles and their influence on contemporary design.

Lampoon Reader is an international guide to the bookstores,
publishers, cultural events and independent distribution networks shaping contemporary print culture.

The section maps bookshops around the world that specialise in independent magazines, rare books, hard-to-find editions,
artist books, photography publications and international literature.
These are not considered only as retail spaces, but as cultural infrastructures:
places where books circulate, communities meet and editorial research becomes accessible.

Reader follows the most relevant cultural events throughout the year, including international book fairs,
independent publishing festivals, art and photography book fairs, literary gatherings
and exhibitions dedicated to printed matter.

Lampoon Hotels brings together reviews and reports on distinctive independent hotels in Italy and around the world.
The section focuses on authentic hospitality projects rather than international chains or standardised luxury.

Each hotel is examined as the expression of a place, a cultural vision and a way of working.
Architecture, interior design, materials, food, service and hotel management are considered as interconnected
elements that define the guest experience and the relationship between the property and its territory.

Every hotel featured in the section is visited and documented by the Lampoon editorial team.
The photographs are shot on analogue film, creating a visual record grounded in direct observation
rather than promotional imagery.

Lampoon Perfumes explores fragrance as a material, cultural and industrial practice. The section brings together reviews,
interviews and in-depth editorial reports on haute perfumery, niche fragrances, independent perfume houses,
historic maisons and contemporary olfactory research.

Each story examines how a perfume is conceived, formulated and produced. Particular attention is given to fragrance raw materials:
flowers, woods, resins, roots, spices, natural extracts, essential oils, aroma chemicals and synthetic molecules.
Lampoon investigates their origin, extraction, transformation, quality, availability and environmental impact, as well as the labour
and technical knowledge involved in their use.

Lampoon Canapa – The Hemp Hub at Lampoon Magazine brings together six years of editorial research
into industrial hemp and its applications in manufacturing, agriculture, design and material culture.

Through articles, interviews, field reports and independent research, Lampoon investigates the hemp supply chain in Italy and internationally:
from cultivation and fibre processing to spinning, weaving, construction materials, biocomposites, paper, food and other industrial uses.

The Hemp Hub at Lampoon examines how hemp is grown, processed and transformed, who works with it and which economic,
technical and environmental conditions determine whether it can become a reliable material at scale.
Farmers, fibre processors, manufacturers, researchers, designers, architects,
brands and institutions are considered as parts of the same production system.
