Apujan – Expressing both the virtual and the real

It is a period of reflection and relates to aesthetics, taking place before considering the restraints of production. Intw Apujan

APUJAN – DESIGN AND INSPIRATIONS

My mother is a writer, and she is also a collector of great numbers of books. I have enjoyed reading books, comic books, movies and exhibitions since I was a kid. I have found the particular things of creating with various media, and also how to create a world expressing both virtual and real. When I was studying BA, I have learned fabric design as well as history of knitting and clothes.

Apujan’s growth

Afterwards, I went to RCA for master on womenswear, when I started practicing telling stories via clothes. Books and the production of textile still affects me the most on creation. I spent a lot of time on reading as well as researching the methods of fabric design, which we have started the work from the yarn every season. For our last collection we use reference book list as moodboard to communicate with different collaborators, ie, music director, show director, print designer and many more.
