Vivified by the program’s success, the David Lynch Foundation Italia decided to commence offering doctors and health personnel this method to strengthen the ability to recover and teach them how to cope with stress.«Starting the practice of MTB was an important step in my life. It made me discover the energy reserves we have inside us and that we do not fully utilize them. […] Stress can be defined as a state of imbalance in our Neurovegetative Nervous System. TM practice restores balance […] by strengthening our psychological resources. The result is lasting well-being of psycho-physical health as a whole», evaluates Dr. Maria Morelli, a specialist in Child Neuropsychiatry, who attended the program.

Over 400 Transcendental Meditation studies published in peer-reviewed journals have documented improvements in the number of stress-related disorders and improvements in cognitive function, health, and general well-being.

Beginning in Lucca — the city has hosted its headquarters and activities for several years — the program has room for expansion. «I want to offer my support and encouragement to these efforts to help children and veterans, and anyone who needs help in overcoming stress through meditation», explains Martin Scorsese.
