Matteo Strocchia, Marco Servina and Giulia Meterangelis intertwines a story of five women in the Milanese that reclaim their femininity in a world atrophied by men

Title: Underground Goddess

Underground goddess investigates and documents the lives of five women in the Milanese suburbs. Aicha, Elisa, Emily, Regina and Victoria represent strong, imposing and cool women who daily claim their presence to the world thus overturning the traditional logics of urban machismo. The underground setting is punctuated by FW23 looks with a street couture twist.

Giulia Meterangelis

Giulia was born in Rome and graduated in interior design in Milan. Thanks to these studies she has developed an interest in color, materials and details. Later she attended a course in fashion styling and soon started working for international magazines and Italian brands.

Marco Servina and Matteo Strocchia

Servina was born in Reggio Calabria in March 1992, while Strocchia was born in Rome in November 1992.

Brought together by their interest in photography and fashion, they began to experiment using mainly analogue and manual media. Their work is based on the study of bodies, movement and expressiveness. Linked to the world of performers and the visual arts, they try to give voice and represent all those realities that are often on the margins of society.

They portray moods and feelings that come alive through bodies and costumes. Living the discomfort of a generation without certainty, it is precisely on uncertainty that they lull their images. Sure subjects, imposing bodies, gestures and actions become mediums for claiming human rights, gender struggles, anti-militarism, thus overturning the traditional logics of art.
