Corporal dimension:  Isabelle Wenzel for Lampoon 27: bodies as a choir

«I was thinking about the nude human form. I demanded to strip bare. I want to be your mirror; do you want to be my projection?» – Isabelle Wenzel for Lampoon Spring 23

Isabelle Wenzel: Corporal dimension

I was thinking about the nude human form. I demanded to strip bare.
We executed a mental state: there was no right or wrong.
I want to be your mirror; do you want to be my projection?

Isabelle Wenzel and the reactive form

Isabelle Wenzel was born in 1982. She first came into contact with photography during her studies in Bielefeld, Germany, at the University of Applied Sciences. She later moved to Amsterdam and graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam in 2010, where she studied to become a photographer and artist. She uses her body as a reactive form, taking photographs of herself in impossible positions and a surreal, theatrical setting within the ten seconds the self-timer allows her.
