Heatwave in the village, the sun is at its highest while we stroll in Givenchy thigh highs on the dirt road to the local sculptor’s atelier. On the windy roads. We cut some wood with Lucien, between two limonades, Tsivery gets caught in the sudden rain, mid air, doing.

The forest burned, but didn’t completely die. The tree sap seems to be slowly flowing underneath the thick bark that turned into coal. The latex shines and releases its rubbery fragrance. The cold water in the neighbor’s pool melted Lotta’s dress into Celyn’s skin.

At the farm the pigs try to feast on the bright pink Valentino garments. The tires of the old Honda scream and burn in the tight turns double backflips at the local waterfall. Damese tailors the episodic disappearance of Celyn. She re-emerges as a symbol, an allegory, as herself again coming out of the water in a white Mugler attire. 

Maxime Ballesteros

Born in Lyon, France. After studying in ERBASE (fine art school of St Etienne), he graduated in 2007 with a DNSEP (master diploma of art). His photographs have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in France, USA, Belgium, Russia, Germany, Great Britain and Denmark. He has been based in Berlin since 2007. French photographer Maxime Ballesteros captures candid moments in a world where sexual freedom and bodily exploration is celebrated and commonplace.
