Title: Choses étranges

Est-ce toi ou moi ?

C’est plus étrange que ça,
sous quel oeil dois je voir les choses?
Le jugement ou la contemplation,
lequel de nous deux est le plus étrange ?

Title: Strange things

Is it you or me?
it’s stranger than that
How should I see things?
judgment or contemplation
Which of us is the strangest?

Yohann Truminski, photographer

My name is Yohann Truminski, French photographer. I don’t talk about myself, I prefer to put others first. I like people, and I think that’s why I got into photography in the first step. It creates a bond; photography is like a bridge. Giving people a smile, being proud of yourself, finding yourself beautiful, I like being part of all that. If I had to describe my photography, I’d want it to be transgressive.

I don’t respect codes. I like the absurd, the incongruous. I don’t take photos to show the apparent simple beauty of a person or a landscape for example. I need to breathe something just by looking at it, I need emotions, questioning. Photography has become a real drug over the years, and I’m like a child every time I use a film camera and get to the final stage of the negative/ positive process. Photography requires a lot of sacrifice, but it’s such an emotional experience that I’m always eager to embark on new projects. I hope to introduce you to some new ones very soon.
