What is your new album or any specific songs about?

ALICI
I’ve had many adventures this summer. I spent the five months traveling around Europe writing so much, my new songs are special moments from this summer trapped in time. Like little souvenirs. I have songs about love, friends, feelings, the ocean. Many of my songs I just wrote in one sitting while experiencing a moment. The songs are all real stories, and parts of me I’m excited to share with the world.

How do you find inspiration in music?

ALICI
Everything is my inspiration. From the sun shining through the trees to shells on the beach, the wind blowing in your hair, a gentle kiss on the cheek. I try to use music as a way to take special moments or special things I see, to not just right about love but anything.

Alici: I model a lot and it’s always a job and not about me

EDITORIAL TEAM
After looking at these images that we took, what side of you do they feel like they portray? How were you feeling on the shoot day?

ALICI
I model a lot and it’s always a job and not about me. This feels so refreshing because it feels very genuine and true to me. It feels more like little moments in time rather than just being a model. The day was so nice and calm, everyone supporting each-other.

Is there a song stuck in your head or a particular phrase?

ALICI
Currently I have had my new songs on repeat in my head. Since recording the album this week and being so tunnel vision focused it’s been hard to listen to anything else. I’ve been thinking a lot about my journey and all the little souvenirs I’ve gathered from it. I’ve been marinating on what to call my album and I think it might be called Souvenir.

I think the music industry is a little crazy – Alici

EDITORIAL TEAM
How do you feel about the general music industry right now?

ALICI
This may be controversial, but There’s such an over-saturation of people trying to be musicians now that I think the music industry is a little crazy.  People trying to do things the easy way, just making a beat and singing over. Just releasing fast. It can be so overwhelming with so many artists that I used to feel so much pressure to just release anything as soon as possible. Now I’m trying to remove myself from making music I think others will like, and just make music for me, to stop thinking about the industry and make it a truly personal thing that it always was to me.
