Flowers for Spring? – daring and groundbreaking

Peter Kaaden photography: you need to be good and daring to shoot Flowers for Spring – even more, when you do this without irony

Womanity and the semantic field of sexuality according to Peter Kaaden for Lampoon digital – using some flowers on the floor

Title: Floor and Flowers

Let’s roll with the leftover flowers, the ones no one’s eyeing, the slightly worn-out buds. It’s not about snatching the prettiest and ignoring the rest. Instead, let’s get hands-on, immerse ourselves in the mix. We’re not just using them; we’re diving face-first into a playful world of blooms, even the less-than-perfect ones. It’s all about enjoying the process and giving the overlooked flowers a chance to shine.

The harsh realism that hides no detail from the camera in Peter Kaaden photography is balanced by the grace of the forms, viewed through a lyrical lens. The plasticity of the poses of the models clutching between the petals, helpless remnants of the holes, are a reminder of a play between life and death, between sexuality and the dignity of the feminine, of womanity.

A metaphorical transposition, where sensuality is not displayed, but only allowed to be sensed. Flowers become symbols, thickening in themselves the semantic field of sexuality. Everything is whispered and suggested. The explicit, shouted tones to which Peter Kaaden has accustomed us are diluted in the silent, dazzling dialogue that the flowers weave with human bodies, in a womanity that is sometimes unashamed and other times concealed.
