032c Issue #49 — Summer 2026: MEMPHIS is a print magazine dedicated to the cultural force of Memphis, Tennessee, and its influence on rap, sound, image and contemporary subculture. The Skrillex cover edition places electronic music, experimental production and underground pop in dialogue with the issue’s wider investigation into regional music histories and global creative systems.

The central dossier looks at Memphis beyond the clichés of Elvis, Graceland and southern mythology. Phillip Pyle speaks with DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia, DJ Spanish Fly, La Chat, Shawty Pimp and Tommy Wright III, tracing the city’s role in shaping rap as it is heard today. Neva Wireko photographs Memphis at the northern point of the Mississippi Delta, reading the city through its streets, interiors, edges and cultural memory.

Skrillex and Ecco2K: disruption, production and pop mutation

Skrillex speaks with Ecco2K in his first formal interview in more than a decade. The conversation follows Sonny Moore through electronic music, collaboration, self-taught production, technology, pop structure and the collapse of fixed genre boundaries. Photographed by Noah Dillon and styled by Peri Rosenzweig, the feature frames Skrillex not only as a producer, but as an artist whose work has repeatedly destabilized the divide between mainstream and experimental sound.
