Czech-born photographer. She grew up in a South Moravian border town, Mikulov. After receiving a painting MFA she left for the United States.
Turning to photography displacement, identity, gender, and memory became key themes in her work. She published two volumes: Young American (Paradigm Publishing 2019) and New York New York (Hatje Cantz, 2021). Tomanova currently lives and works in NYC.

Talents Madelyn and Margo Whitley
After transitioning, the two twins Madelyn and Margo Whitley became interested in modeling. They made names for themselves as models after moving to New York after they finished high school. They are currently represented by agencies around the world, including Page Parkes Texas, Nous Model Management in Los Angeles, Marilyn New York, The Face Paris, Why Not Models in Milan, and PRM in London, and have walked for Maison Margiela, Burberry, and Marc Jacobs.
