Hair for self expression and gender identity. Hair can be central to how we view ourselves, we use it to fit in, stand out or to subvert expectations. In this digital age styles are changing rapidly and the power of hair has intensified. Each character in this story uses hair in a different way. The girls use it to fit in, the boys use it to stand out, Boo uses hair to be a part of a subculture, Patrick subverts gender norms and Toby and Fallon use their hair to express themselves and their love for each other.
