The idea of loneliness

The series was shot exactly one year after the first lockdown in the same flat I lived it in and it is influenced by it a lot. The pictures only showcasing solo portraits deal with the idea of loneliness, boredom and at the same time playfulness in an attempt to make daily life interesting again. The skin of young models appears mostly bare, offering itself to our gaze, longing to be touched again, to be felt by someone else. Because who are we if we are not given the opportunity to meet ourselves through someone else, to have the possibility to feel truly alive.

Alexandre Heafeli photographer
