The handwoven hemp polo is elaborated on a regular orthogonal texture. The three-dimensional effect is given by the combination of yarns with different counts (2:2 proportion). The weaving is made with ancient handlooms by master craftsmen in the Treviso district – in the Italian region of Veneto. The handloom technique allows for a fabric with a consistent weight but still soft to touch.
Also the tailoring laboratory is located in Veneto, near Vicenza. The garment has a relaxed fit, with raglan sleeves, a wide collar and two pockets at the bottom. The opening at the collar is wide to allow for a comfort similar to what is usually achieved with a sweatshirt. The design does not include buttons.
The hemp polo shirt is available in three color variations: natural, without any coloring or chemical treatment; anthracite gray, obtained from vegetable charcoal; and mud green, which is obtained from licorice roots sourced in Southern Italy.
