Transparent Speaker

The Transparent Speaker is a compact active loudspeaker designed by Transparent, the Stockholm-based audio brand known for glass and aluminium sound systems. Conceived as a music device and an interior object, the speaker exposes its technical structure rather than concealing it. Tempered glass, aluminium, visible drivers and a sealed cabinet define its visual and acoustic identity.

TRANSPARENT SPEAKER — DESIGN AND MATERIALS

The speaker is built from tempered glass and aluminium, two materials associated with clarity, durability and repairable design. Its transparent body makes the internal components visible: the drivers, frame, cables and acoustic enclosure become part of the object’s language. The result is a loudspeaker that belongs to the domestic interior as much as to audio technology.

SOUND TECHNOLOGY AND ACOUSTIC STRUCTURE

The Transparent Speaker uses two 3-inch full-range drivers, a built-in Class D amplifier and 2 × 15W output power. Its sealed cabinet is engineered for controlled frequency reproduction. Digital Signal Processing, or DSP, refines the sound signal to support clarity, balance and layered vocal reproduction.

The speaker is designed for near-field listening, domestic rooms and interior spaces where sound quality and object presence have equal relevance.

CONNECTIVITY AND MODULAR USE

The Transparent Speaker includes Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. Two speakers can be connected through True Wireless pairing and played simultaneously.

LONGEVITY AND CARBON FOOTPRINT

Transparent’s design approach is based on product longevity, modularity and repairability. The speaker is conceived to be upgraded rather than replaced, addressing the problem of technological obsolescence in audio devices. Extending the life of an electronic product reduces the environmental impact associated with new material extraction, manufacturing, transport and end-of-life treatment.
