Primal Matter: Hector Tre for Lampoon online

Title: Primal Matter

The search for the primal, the connection, the confrontation and the search for truth. The narrative thread of this story tries to lead the viewer into a world where the natural, the raw and rough reflects the primitive and essential of the human, of the characters of this story. An ode to the battle for freedom, authenticity and what ultimately ends up being the truth.

This concept has been combined with a volumetric and gestural styling, grooming of the characters from the natural to the synthetic, turning them into animated characters that engage in conversation and discourse through non-verbal language. A physical and stoic way of expressing themselves, an attitude or a gesture, something that changes from the shape of a subject to the image of an object. Everything matters. Everything is matter

Creating images that are somewhere between reality and fantasy.

Francisco Ugarte is a fashion stylist based in Barcelona. His love for pop culture, design, music and beauty has allowed him to create a visual aesthetic that shakes up trends with timeless narratives.
