Jonathan Arundel, postcards from South East England coast – London seems a million miles away

Photographer Jonathan Arundel set his documentary story inspired by the unusual South Coast of England. Images that fade into the humidity of the sea and a time that seems to have consumed them

Title: slices of lands

We shot on location in mid-December, so the daylight hours were short, which meant a lot of running around, changing quickly, and thinking on your feet.

This story is a fashion documentary inspired by the unusual southern coast of England, so close to London but seemingly a million miles away. The landscape is flat, industrial, and can have a bleak feel. Yet, there is something satisfying about seeing the beauty in what others don’t see
