Between melancholy of a past only dreamed of and the intellectual irony of Angie Couple’s analog photographs, the editorial mixes real with fictional – cinema is a reference
Nostalgic hallucinations from the post-analog era – Angie Couple for Lampoon online
Between melancholy of a past only dreamed of – with the allusion to the film The Dreamers – and the sharp intellectual irony of Angie Couple’s analog photographs, the editorial for Lampoon, becomes a set to mix what is real and fictional. A daydreaming imagery of desired objects, invented moments and other nostalgic hallucinations from the post-analog era.
Angie Couple for Lampoon digital edition
The melancholic desire leads us into the digital age. The Dreamers (2003) has influenced a whole generation of ambitious and romantic young creatives. The vintage aesthetic of this proposal combines fragments of an alternative past and dual cultures to build a hybrid style. Who wouldn’t like to live in their own home like in an atemporal bubble blending dream and reality? Our inner adolescent would be screaming at these pictures.
